14 DAYS OF GRAPEFRUIT!

It's that time in my life, yet again. Time for transition. Time for a search deep down into the delving depths of divine delight within me to welcome change, in its notoriously, for lack of a better term, ever-changing ways. :) But, enough with the big-word babble and on to the good stuff. I have a very exciting announcement. If you're too lazy to read a few more sentences, you can skip to the yellow text.

Three days ago, I returned from a fabulous journey to Greece. I felt compelled to go there, and it was a good time in my life, so I blew my bank account to the absolute bare minimum and flew to Athens. In short, it was great. It was just what I needed. I rediscovered the warm light of sun after a depressingly long and cold winter, met some amazing people, and want to do everything possible to sustain my traveler's high.

So, I'm going to embark on a grapefruit feast.

Yep.

Beginning today, I am going to eat nothing but grapefruit. White. Ruby red. Pummelos. Freaky hybrid breeds that I don't even know exist. Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head, I've got a lovely bunch-o coco---grapefruits, deedaleedeeeeeee......

My goal is to keep this going for 14 days, but I do not want to be too set on goals at this point. All that I can be sure of is that grapefruit is one of the most amazing blessings of this planet (as are all fruits, especially citrus), and that mono-diets are a gorgeous way to allow simplicity and airiness to flow in and out of your life. I just know that this is what my body wants and needs right now. I just do.

I'll be posting to this blog daily, and you can follow my grapefruitian (grapefruitatarian?) adventures! I'm pretty damn excited. I'll be researching the ins and outs of mono-fruit diets, citrus fruit, tropical fruit, raw foods, and everything else related. You can be sure that we will all be experts by the end of this citrus escapade.

Many fragrant fruit peels for you,
Chelsea
